I am so proud to be featured on the front cover and inside Mollie Makes Magazine, issue 9

Welcome to our website...my name is Helen Newton and I started Lilly*Blossom in 2009.

I am based in Cheshire in the United Kingdom and fabric is my passion. I like to make beautiful yet practical items from the best quality designer fabrics.

My own range of PDF sewing guides have been developed to share simple methods and ideas with you, particularly for beginners.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to ask any questions or have any requests for special orders.

I have been working on an alternative version to the felt ruffle cushion that is so popular. I decided to use a rectangular shape pillow form and just add a band of ruffles offset to one side and I think the result is quite striking.

If you would like to have a go the PDF sewing guide is aimed at beginners so don't worry if you haven't got a great deal of sewing experience, all you need is lots of felt, patience and a sewing machine. This version is now on the same PDF as the full ruffle square cushion cover so you get two designs in one, both illustrated with lots of close up photographs and simple text.

Book Bag

Once you have made your Book Bag choose beads that coordinate with your fabric. The beads add weight to the bookmark and make sure you never lose your place. Simply close the cover and your book is transformed into a small tote bag with handles, couldn't be easier.
